Eutectics - The USB Phone standard for most Softphones & PC clients

Eutectics USB phonesE  a strange name tough to pronounce   (u tek ticks) and even worse to spell†¦ But, despite these peculiarities, this adolescent VoIP hardware manufacturer produces a variety of products designed to make your PC VoIP experience more enjoyable, useful and even (dare we say it) practical. Eutectics is a US based company they’ve been in business for about six years with seven products in full production. All of their products are focused on the PC VoIP or VoIM space.

Ho-Hum you say? Not really. Eutectics products are far from the ordinary they give the user the high quality dependable service that is missing from most PC phones along with a huge selection of clients both business and consumer to chose from.

Eutectics products serve in both professional and home user VoIP environments and support all of the most popular voice applications.

They work with Skype (of course), but also with Yahoo Voice, Counterpath (Eyebeam and X-Ten) and most of the other popular consumer PC clients. With the addition of the Eutectics integration package complex VoIP implementations become easy and intuitive to use for the even the most intimidated of netizens.

Eutectics integration software is seamless (nearly invisible) - and allows you to easily switch among several clients depending on your immediate needs or preferences.

With one click on the cute little green E’ in your system tray (which only appears when your phone is attached) you can select whether the local speakers will ring, or just the phone or both (perfect for noisy environments).

Caller id is also displayed (if the client provides it) allowing you to easily screen your net calls right from the phone.

Pretty cool, huh? But wait we are far from done here. Eutectics has a few more tricks including some features not found on any other competitors equipment.
First though most of the current field of PC phone producers concentrate on the large consumer market Eutectics is a more broadly based player.
PC phones are a niche market one sector in a ever growing variety of VoIP equipment options

To address the multiplicity of user needs within this boutique telephony sector, Eutectics makes devices that would be at home on the desk of a Fortune 500 CIO, in the laptop bags of your mobile global sales force or in the forward operations command center of our tactical forces around the world.

Second Eutectics really has thought out the process of PC telephony and has taken seriously all of the pet peeves’ of their users.

For instance all of Eutectics devices provide fantastic audio quality, and come with all of the accessories that make connecting and using their devices a snap.

Eutectics 4-Port USB HubEach device includes a free four port USB hub in the box for instant expansion of precious USB ports.

They also provide durable cords designed for years of trouble free use and their plastics are sturdy, strong and nicely weighted for the hand.

The IPP200 unit - their first production device providing hookswitch only functionality is still a very popular seller and has spawned several different versions for desktop, headset and portable users. Each model in the 200 series (IPP200, 201, 210, 200T and 200-PTT) meets the specialized needs of a section of the user base, adapting the required hookswitch functionality to a different environment or application.
Another unique thing about this company†¦.
Eutectics actually listens to its customers (!), takes their suggestions and ideas and then refines and incorporates that feedback into its next generation of products further proof of their commitment to the needs of their diverse user community.

Third the breadth of supported softphone applications is far beyond any of the competition.
Besides the ones mentioned earlier Eutectics phones and integration packages work seamlessly with soft-phones from Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, Siemens, Toshiba, Sphere Communications, 3Com and a host of other providers.
The SNOM softphone integration pictured below is one of the newest providing a hard-phone’ experience with the ease and convenience of a PC based softphone.
Business class users, looking to employ the latest technology in their enterprise both for convenience and the powerful suite of included features, no longer have to give up precious desktop space to both a PC and an IP hardphone.   Eutectics devices provide the hardphone’ feel, and ease of use for a softphone price and flexibility.

All of Eutectics products are thoroughly tested and comply with FCC Class B, RoHS, CE and UL specifications.   All of their products are designed in the USA and manufactured overseas.

Eutectics IPP2000 USB ATAOn the horizon for this fast moving company†¦?
Look for the newly released IPP2000 FAX model - providing Fax4Free over Skype and other VoIM applications coming to an e-store near you this summer.

A review on this product will be posted here soon†¦
