Connecting the Pirelli DP-L10 to GSM data provider
DP-L10′s WAP CONFIGURATION
This blog explains how to configure DP-L10 as WAP browser. The WAP browser can work using both GPRS and WLAN interfaces. A configuration’s example is provided to simplify the explanation. The example provided refers to T-mobile SIM card, for any other provider you need to obtain the information and replace the settings with the “italic” format.Go to WAP service - Settings -Profile - Edit act. and compile the following fields:
- Setting’s name- T-Mobile. It’s the name to be assigned to this profile. It doesn’t affect the configuration- Homepage - http://wap.myvoicestream.com‘ - Default WAP homepage provided by T-Mobile Operator
- Connection type - Proxy - This is the typology of connection, generally the value is Proxy.
- Proxy address -216.155.165.050 - Proxy IP address, it is provided by the Mobile Operator
- Port - 8080 - Proxy port, it is provided by the Mobile Operator
- Data bearer - GPRS - Topology of transport, WLAN and GPRS are allowed
- Bearer settings - Access point - wap.voicestream.com - Access point to the service, it is provided by the Mobile Operator
- Authentication type - Normal - This is the default for free service
- Username - empty - This is the default for free service
- Password - empty -This is the default for free service
