Conflict – Snom 3 series & Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) Adapters
Issue: Please be advised, this applies to “some” Snom 3 series telephones when connected to an EHS adapter. This does not affect the M3 DECT handsets.
Symptoms: When the EHS adapter is connected to your telephone it can cause the phone to shut-off, freeze while booting or something similar.
Cause: The bootloader on any affected phone.
Work Around: Snom has released a firmware version that addresses this specific imcompatiblity. The firmware is not recommended for phones that do not have an EHS adapter.
Fix: Please install the firmware once you are certain the EHS adapter is causing the instability in the phone.
